Preserving the fishing of our Lakes Do’s and Don’ts

Do
- Practice catch, take a picture, and release fish.
- If you occasionally keep a fish to eat, try the blue gills.
- Immediately return to the water any spawning female fish.

Don’t
- Keep large bass. These are the genetically strong fish and we need them to perpetuate the species.
- Try to remove swallowed hooks, cut the line. It’s better for the fish.
- Keep lunkers for trophies. Put them back so others can have the chance of the same thrill.
- Add any fish, including pet goldfish, to the lakes. Only the association should add fish to maintain balance.
